OUR MISSION
OUR SHOWS
Improv Charlotte’s mission is to serve our community through comedy by creating inclusive, family-friendly improv that benefits our neighbors throughout the Charlotte area. Our dedicated team of improvisers use our comedic gifts to bring joy to our fellow humans through both interactive and entertaining performances as well as supporting local charity organizations.
1 Peter 4:10 says "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." With that in mind, when we started this troupe in 2006, it became our mission to serve this city we love – through an art form we love.
Over the years, we have been privileged to donate thousands of dollars to various charities, local and global. It's truly a group effort, we may be the ones performing but it's YOUR money that is making a difference in people's lives!
Some of the charities we have benefited include:

WE BELIEVE IT'S MORE CHALLENGING
– AND THEREFORE MORE REWARDING –
TO CREATE CLEAN COMEDY THAT IS BOTH INTELLECTUALLY SATISFYING AND
LAUGH-OUT-LOUD FUNNY.
When Ol' George Bernard Shaw went to the theatre, he went "to be moved to laughter, not tickled or bustled into it" – we couldn't agree more.
We work hard to create memorable characters, relationships and environments within our scenes, while also making honest discoveries, observations and reactions. In other words, we put a lot of effort into delivering you the Best Improv Comedy in Charlotte.
Our shows consist of both short and long form improvisation. Nothing is scripted or rehearsed. Everything we do is made up on the spot and inspired from your suggestions.
To anyone who has ever come to a show: We sincerely appreciate the support!
Much love from your friends at Improv Charlotte
